The US government is the single biggest purchaser of goods and services in the world yet less than half of 1% of US small businesses are actually selling to the federal government!
The government buys everything you can think of and is mandated to make a percentage of purchases through small business contracts.
In 2021 the average amount small businesses made selling to the US government was over $2.3 Million.
As a former USAF acquisitions officer my job was to put companies on contract for the government that could solve our problems. From needed services such as accounting, landscaping and program management to developing high end technological solutions with start ups I got to see first hand what it takes to consistently go on contract with the government.
A problem I consistently ran into was that often the very companies we wanted to put on contract were not registered, prepared, or even aware of the federal sales process.
Upon retirement I made it my mission to enable more small businesses & sales professionals to join the noble profession of defense contracting and improve our US military.
